“I took my 12-year-old Golden Retriever to Flowery Branch Animal Hospital because I thought he might have an eye infection. When Dr. Miller came in, she didn’t just check his eyes. She performed a full exam. I am so incredibly thankful she took the time to do that.

During the exam, she felt a mass on his abdomen. They immediately took him back for X-rays, which revealed a large mass on his spleen. The team explained everything thoroughly. Including the risks if the mass were to rupture, and made it clear how important it was to remove his spleen as soon as possible.

Dr. Stewart performed Tucker’s surgery on Tuesday to remove his spleen. I have trusted Dr. Stewart with both of my dogs for years, so I knew Tucker was in excellent hands. We are currently waiting on the pathology report to determine if it is cancer, but Tucker is recovering great so far.

If Dr. Miller hadn’t taken the extra time to do a full exam, this could have had a completely different outcome. I am beyond grateful to Dr. Miller and Dr. Stewart for not taking shortcuts and for caring for Tucker like he is family.

The entire staff at Flowery Branch Animal Hospital has been amazing throughout this process and truly made a stressful situation much easier.
